Enjoy as Tom Antonellis pays tribute to the great John O'Hurley (best known as J. Peterman on 'Seinfeld').
Tom, a voiceover artist and voicematch (impression) specialist delivers a spot-on impression of John while expressing thanks and admiration for the tremendous career of an iconic artist. Inspired by SOVAS's "State of VO" training series for voiceover artists.
“Imagination: the more you tickle it, the more it will tell you where you need to go.” - John O'Hurley
On The State of VO from SOVAS (Society of Voice Arts and Sciences) John treated us to a master class in comedy, voice technique, voiceover skills, acting, timing, the power of imagination, versatility in being an entertainer, being unique, giving your voice a “core”, having a “quiver of arrows in your arsenal”, marketing, branding, self-actualization, breathing, character, musicality, vocabulary (we learned the word stentorian) and so many other gifts.  And he bookended it with an original J. Peterman monologue kick-off and send-off performed just for us.
Thank you, John -- all of your perspectives resonate deeply for me. And thank you Marc Guss (@realmarcguss), Joan Baker (@joanthevoice), Rudy Gaskins (@rudygaskins1) for the opportunity to learn from a master.
Imagination Contemplation Appreciation abounds.
